We’re delighted to release this online XLIFF editor completely for free. The editor was primarily written to handle XLIFF files generated by Xcode for iOS apps, so may not work with files generated with other software.
Flash keeps localization data in XLIFF format, this is an XML dialect. Several users from different countries want to help me with translation. But it's hard for regular people to edit XML files. I'm looking for a free editor, since I don't want to buy the editor for each user. Which free XLIFF editor would you recommend? Trusted Windows (PC) download SDL XLIFF Split and Merge 1.2. Virus-free and 100% clean download. Get SDL XLIFF Split and Merge alternative downloads.
If you come across any glitches or improvements you think need to be made then just get in touch. Please be aware that as this is offered for free, there is no warranty offered.
To use the editor simply follow these three steps:
Upload your XLIFF file
Enter your translations
Generate a new XLIFF file
Overview
Multilingual App Toolkit includes an extension for Visual Studio. This extension enables simpler translations by focusing on the following areas:
Integration with Visual Studio IDE allow you add and manage translation files through the use of XLIFF v1.2 industry standard localization files within a project solution while still using standard Visual Studio menus and dialogs.
Pseudo language engine gives you ‘in house’ testing of localized apps by identifying localization issues during development. These issues can include hardcoded, concatenated, or truncated strings, and visual issues that arise when working with different languages. Pseudo translations are stored in the localization industry standard XLIFF file format, and you can edit them just like any other language translation. This gives you granular control over pseudo translation testing.
